A wonderful primary school in Chelmsford are seeking a passionate and committed Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant to join their friendly team from February 2024, on a long-term to permanent contract.
The Head Teacher is seeking someone who is genuinely dedicated and committed to these vulnerable children who struggle with a range of issues and diagnoses. This school prides itself on its inclusivity and diversity. The school caters for children from all different backgrounds and they work hard to provide each and every students with the best possible support and education.
As the successfully appointed Mental Health and Wellbeing Assistant, you will work closely with children who have SEN and students who struggle with trauma and Mental Health. Some children struggle in the classroom setting and benefit from taking breaks and par taking in different activities in a different environment. You will be working closely with the class teacher, SENCO and pastoral support worker, which gives you the opportunity to shadow these trained professionals.
This role would be suitable for someone who has experience working with SEN/SEMH/Trauma/Depression/Anxiety or a strong passion to gain experience and learn new skills.
