As a Senior Mental Health Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the nursing provision and supporting the Clinical Manager
- Supervising the nursing team to ensure diligent service to patients
- Leading an MDT, supporting a caseload of patients
- Ensuring the highest standard of evidence-based nursing care is delivered
- Acting as a patient advocate, ensuring privacy, dignity and confidentiality
- Reporting any issues identified by patients or their relatives
- Ensuring a high standard of infection control and prevention of healthcare associated infections
- Administering all drugs and medications as per local policies and procedures

The ideal candidate for the Senior Mental Health Nurse role will have:
- Active NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN)
- Completed a mentorship course
- Skills and knowledge up to date with current nursing practice
- Ability to plan care and manage a personal caseload
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Understanding of private medicine and the relevant legislative frameworks
- Knowledge of clinical governance and care standards
- Minimum of one year's post-registration experience, preferably within a surgical setting
