Tradewind is currently recruiting for a Mental Health Teaching Assistant to work in one of our Warrington user schools.
The successful candidate will have experience supporting individuals with Social, Emotional Mental Health and has a passion for promoting independence and life skills. The position is to start ASAP and will be a full-time, long-term position. This position will become permanent for the right person.
As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will be required to work one-to-one or in small groups with vulnerable students who struggle with their Social, Emotional Mental Health. In addition, your day-to-day duties will be ensuring that the curriculum and learning are accessible for these students, ensuring that they reach their potential.
To be considered for this position as Mental Health Teaching Assistant in Warrington you must:
- Have experience working with children who have SEMH needs
- Experience with challenging behaviour
- Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service, or be prepared to undertake a new disclosure
- Be able to provide a minimum of 2 references, covering the last 2 years, including your most recent education reference
- Have a full and complete 10-year career history
