Salary Have you worked within Mental Health and fancy a slight career change? How about 2 – 3 days at home a week (2 days office) working for a national Mental Health charity supporting people with Mental Health Support needs in their next career move?
This charity has been awarded a new contract in Bedfordshire which launches this month. They are building a new team and are looking for people with experience of supporting people with Mental Health Support needs on a 121 basis. You will be one day in Bedford, one day in Leighton Buzzard, and then 2 – 3 days at home each week. Employment / careers has a huge impact on people’s Mental Health. And you will either be supporting people who are currently employed to overcome any barriers they are facing (this could be talking to their employer about reasonable adjustments) to helping someone who has been out of work for a while due to a Mental Health Support need and doesn’t quite know where to start. You will be supporting around career aspirations, job searching, CV writing and interview prep to name a few.
This role is about employment support rather than support work. But by helping people with their careers, you can have a huge positive impact on their Mental Health.
You must have worked in a role supporting vulnerable clients to support them to achieve a goal (such as a supported housing officer, resettlement worker, substance misuse practitioner, teaching assistant, teacher, tutor, careers advisor, recruitment consultant).
