Job description

We’re looking for a Mental Health Coordinator to work in partnership with Sussex Partnership Foundation Trust and local GPs. This is an innovative role to provide targeted Mental Health and holistic support.

The role will work alongside GPs to access and provide short-term, early intervention support in a primary care setting. The support is mainly a non-medical approach, utilising multidisciplinary networks for complex Mental Health needs.

To succeed in this role, you’ll need a good understanding of working in Mental Health or equivalent transferable skills and a genuine passion for supporting people to explore their needs. You’ll receive a comprehensive induction followed up with regular training - we’ll invest in you to give you all the tools you need to succeed. You’ll join a supportive, flexible team and be working for one of the leading providers of Mental Health services in Sussex.

In return, we can offer you a position with a leading provider - where 'best practice’ standards are set and performed, excellent benefits e.g. health care cashback scheme, local and national discounts, £100 reward for passing probation and a supportive and modern working environment.

Southdown is a psychologically informed organisation where the well-being and happiness of our employees matter. We’re committed to creating a positive and compassionate work environment where employees feel valued, respected and inspired to do their best. In addition, we’re a family-friendly employer that recognises the importance of a work-life balance. If you share our values and want to work for an organisation that helps change lives for the better, we want to hear from you

We are a Disability Confident Employer and are fully committed to supporting Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) and we welcome applications from all candidates that meet our job specifications. If you feel there is a barrier that potentially prevents you from applying, do get in contact with us as we are always happy to discuss (or arrange a discussion we the recruiting manager) to explore if any reasonable adjustments can be made to support your application.

Closing date for applications: 24th March 2024

Interviews will be held: 4th April 2024
