Established over 50 years ago, our client is recognised as a market leading mechanical and electrical contractor throughout London and south east. With a specialism in commercial office, healthcare and datacentres projects, they also work in public, retail, health, education, leisure, residential and pharmaceutical sectors. Their experience ranges from small work contracts circa £500k to major projects in excess of £40M.
Due to internal progression, our client are on the market for an M&E Planner to oversee their commercial new build and redevelopment projects, the projects range from £10m to £45m in London.
The M&E Planner will play an active role in project management support of multi-disciplined, multi-sector project delivery work by facilitating the planning, scheduling and controlling processes. You will also support the Senior planner currently their, the candidate must have a good understanding of P6 software.
• The M&E Planner will provide communicate effectively in response to management questions to assist in effective and accurate decision making, and must escalate and flag internally to the Lead Planner (& Planning & Risk Manager) immediately where there is risk.
• You will provide a high quality of service to the project manager
• The M&E Planner will provide guidance to Planners / Juniors as necessary
• You will highlight key schedules and tracking requirements
• You will develop a Construction schedule based on high level target schedule and WBS received from Project manager
• The M&E planner will support in client schedule negotiations
• Labour & Metrics load the schedule based on hours & quantities received from the Commercial Team
• The M&E planner will develop the required Trackers and Reporting templates
• The M&E Planner will also develop a fully integrated construction schedule in conjunction with the Main Contractor and Project Manager.
• You will also measure & track weekly progress and efficiency in consultation with the Site Team and validate this formally with the Commercial Team every 2 / 3 weeks.
• The M&E planner will highlight potential risks and roadblocks to the project team and lead planner on an ongoing basis
