Your new companyOur client is a largeInternational multidisciplinary consultancy with offices all across the UK.They are looking for an experienced Principal Electrical Engineer to join theirgrowing team. This is a greatopportunity to really boost your career by joining their Nuclear and CleanPower businesses.Their Net Zero team is recruiting for LV and MV Electrical Engineers to work within our Energy StorageandPower and IndustrialAssets (P&IA) teams. Typical projects include greenfield Hydrogengeneration,storage, andtransmission; thermal power plant modifications, asset life extension anddecarbonisation;battery energy storagesystems (BESS).There is also the potential to support key national infrastructure sites, and energy networks including the NationalGrid Design & Project Services framework.Full project lifecycleexperience would be advantageous, and knowledge may include power systemstudies, calculations,electrical equipment specification and selection, electrical design deliverables incompliance withclient, regional, national, and international electrical standards.Your new role You will join the team as the Electrical Lead, yourresponsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Leading the Electrical team to achieve our Net Zero targets.
• Mentoring and developing the competence of more junior engineers.
• Ensuring an understanding of project briefs.
• Design and specification of all Electrical systems
• Conducting site surveys, inspections and monitoring of siteworks.
• Report and technical note writing.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant regulations, codes and standards.
• Lead projects from a design and commercial perspective, dealing with budgets, timelines etc.
• Contributing to the growth of the electrical team, including conducting candidate interviews.
• Contributing toward business development and strategy.

What you'll need to succeed

• Degree qualified in Building Services Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• You must be a Chartered Engineer with CIBSE or IET.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience within Electrical Building Services Design.
• A Principal Engineer looking to lead a team of LV/MV Electrical Engineers.
• An excellent technical level with engineering softwares such as Amtech, Relux, Dialux, Revit, AutoCAD, etc.
• A detailed knowledge of appropriate technical standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership skills
• Ability to work on your own as well as within a wider multidisciplinary team.
• You must be eligible to obtain a security clearance due to MOJ/MOD/Nuclear contracts.
