Metering Agent - Belfast - Northern Ireland Water

NI Water is responsible for bringing clean, safe water to the people of Northern Ireland. Employing over 1400 people, they supply 560 million litres of clean water a day for Northern Irelands 1.8 million population.

• £20,842 - £25,474 per annum (candidates will normally be offered on the first point of the scale)
• Monday to Friday
• 28 days annual leave
• Temporary, 6-9 months

Your focus will be to maintain and review metered account related data (circa 70,000 accounts), investigating associated metering issues and ensure regulatory targets and customer expectations are met on a daily basis. Duties include:

• Update and maintain metering and account related data received from Field Services / Metering Contractors / Trade Effluent Team - in adherence to agreed policies and processes. This will include interpreting and producing reports.
• Update NI Water billing system with New Connection Application information, liaising closely with colleagues in Customer Connections Team.
• Investigate escalated queries relating to complex metering and billing issues – initiating Visit Requests / Meter Maintenance Requests when necessary.
• Provide advice to Customer Service teams to help facilitate first time resolution of complex customer contacts.
• Provide tailored account configuration solutions, ensuring compliance with NI Water Billing Policy.
• Collate data and provide supplementary analysis for monthly performance hubs.

Criteria:

• A minimum of 5 GCSE’s Grade C or above or equivalent, to include English and Math’s.
• A minimum of 1 years’ experience of working within a regulated, target-focused environment.
• Competent in MS Office applications including MS Excel and Word.
• Experience of producing and interpreting reports
