Are you a passionate MFL Teacher? Step Teachers have an outstanding opportunity for a talented Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) teacher to join a vibrant school community in Bury St Edmunds.
Position: MFL Teacher (French) Location: Bury St Edmunds Start Date: June 2024 Contract: Long-term role
The school is a “Good” Ofsted-rated school whose students feel safe and happy in the school. The pupils arrive promptly and attend well. The teachers have a high expectations of the studentsregarding how they behaveand expect the students to work hard. Leaders have designed an ambitious curriculum and lessons are taught well.
Key Responsibilities of MFL Teacher:
- Deliver engaging and interactive lessons in French and Spanish, catering to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Foster a stimulating learning environment that promotes linguistic proficiency, cultural awareness, and a love for languages.
- Utilize a variety of teaching strategies and resources to enhance student engagement and achievement.
- Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to support individual growth and development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design curriculum, plan activities, and contribute to the wider school community.
Requirements of MFL Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience as MFL Teacher in UK mainstream school
- Passion for language teaching and a genuine desire to inspire and motivate students.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
- Innovative and adaptable approach to teaching, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Eligibility to work in the UK and willingness to undergo necessary vetting checks
