Job Description
Countrywide is part of the Connells group, the UK’s largest estate agency and property services business incorporating many well-known high street brands: Hamptons, Abbotts, Bairstow Eves, Taylors Estate Agents, are but a few. The Estate Agency Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team is vital in providing timely robust reporting and analysis to a wide group of stakeholders to inform of business performance. The team provides a series of reports, both regular and ad hoc, across all our business segments of Sales, Lettings, New Homes & Mortgage Services.
As well as providing the business with reporting & analysis, the team is crucial to ensuring the data quality and integrity and supports the wider finance team with reporting. The team also play a key role in the production of the quarterly forecasts and annual budgets.
The role will be based in our central Chelmsford office.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Produce daily, monthly & weekly reporting on both financial and KPI performance.
  • Review data for anomalies and flag to the data team / business.
  • Be first point of contact for stakeholders on KPI and MI queries.
  • Support the production and development of ad-hoc reporting / analysis.
  • Update reporting templates with changes to business structure as appropriate.

Required Experience / Skills
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and data manipulation skills
  • Strong administrative skills with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Experience in producing & distributing a high volume of reports on a regular reporting schedule.
  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time to deliver time sensitive reports.
  • Proven ability to communicate with stakeholders of varying levels of seniority.
  • Ability to be flexible and work independently and as part of a small team.
  • Ability to manage multiple conflicting interests and deadlines.
  • Critical thinker with an eye on continuous process improvement.
  • Experience or willingness to learn advanced system skills eg VBA / Macro creation & SQL
