Role Purpose

The Microsoft Platform Analyst, reporting to the Microsoft Platform Lead, is responsible for supporting the implementation and maintenance of the products on the Microsoft 365 platform focusing on all of the current and upcoming components of Office 365 (eg SharePoint, Teams, Exchange) and providing additional support to other Microsoft products such as Azure DevOps, CoPilot and Viva


This role also provides additional support for other products within the Microsoft ecosystem (such as Dynamics and Power Platform) as required. This also includes working with the Microsoft Platform Lead to support delivery of the evolving Microsoft 365 platform roadmap aligned to LRQA strategy.


The role involves working with other members in the IT team to implement small enhancements and changes to M365 platform capabilities. The role also requires the holder to provide guidance and share knowledge and experience with colleagues to enable them to make full use of the Microsoft 365 Platform, including Power Platform, as well as supporting adoption on new and existing capabilities. This role also includes the promotion of good use of the platform and acting as an evangelist for the platform to ensure that LRQA are getting as much value from M365 as possible.


You will work closely with support vendors to ensure that incidents related to the platform are handled within the agreed service levels and act as an agent for any technical escalations that require specialist support. You will also work with support vendors to transition day-to-day support requirements for new or changed features and functionality into their scope where appropriate.


Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the implementation, support and transition of new capabilities and the development of new functionality within the Microsoft 365 Platform Stack
  • Maintain and provide support for all elements of the Microsoft 365 platform (including but not limited to Teams Telephony, SharePoint, OneDrive, CoPilot and Viva)
  • Work with support vendors to resolve incidents and follow through and ensure timely resolutions to incidents and escalate as required
  • Ensure that knowledge and support articles reflect any new or existing changes to the environment and are kept up to date
  • Develop and evolve platform governance and processes to ensure the smooth running and consistency of operation in the environment
  • Provide support, training and promote best practice on new and existing functionality within the platforms and identify areas where the business can realise value from platform
  • Ensure that all change and developments on the platform align with the requirements of the business, architecture and security teams
  • Work in a DevOps environment providing input to prioritisation and working with the business to gather new requirements for the platform and delivering as small change in an Agile environment
  • Use your technical knowledge to contribute into the platform roadmap identifying areas of focus and improvement
  • Being an agent for change, embrace new technologies and support the business to realise the value on our customers and our business working in conjunction with other teams

The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Technical background with at least 3 years of working experience with Microsoft 365 including SharePoint, Teams and demonstrable experience and understanding of the wider Microsoft ecosystem including Azure and Power Platform.
  • Experience in the support, implementation and development of new features in Microsoft 365 as well as experience in working with advanced tooling such as Defender and Compliance
  • Strong communication skills to engage with the business with an ability to not only listen but also advise providing appropriate challenges and questions to find the correct resolution
  • Ability to assess requirements, visualise solutions and see through to resolution working with relevant stakeholders
  • Strong technical understanding of the evolving Microsoft SaaS landscape and ability to demonstrate and articulate change
  • Experience of working with tools such as ShareGate to perform data migrations and platform housekeeping
  • ITIL Qualification required
  • Act as an effective team player being able to be an ambassador for IT in stakeholder interactions both externally and internally #LI-Remote #Remote
