MIS Data Reporting Analyst

Main Responsibilities:

To design and produce core and ad hoc reports from the College systems as requested using a variety of software tools including SQL Server Management Studio, MySQL, Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets and SQL Reporting Services. These will be for audiences including Governors, SLT, DfE, local Councils, internal and external stakeholders.

To design, produce, and test SQL queries to assist in a variety of tasks to streamline otherwise manual processes, e.g. bulk updates.

To assist the Management Information Manager in the preparation of ILR returns. This will include applying knowledge of funding regulations, clearing errors, and maintaining an up to date knowledge.

To assist the Management Information Manager in maintaining and improving the integrity of data in college systems using FIS and DSAT audit tools.

To be a key part of the application and enrolment data processes, assisting with all aspects of the system to ensure a smooth start to the academic year.

To assist with the collation of information for internal and external auditors.

To make amendments or update student records on ProSolution to ensure the data set comprehensively and accurately records College activity

To assist with the management of learning agreements for funded students to meet audit requirements, ensuring all are completed promptly

To assist with all aspects of the College timetable as required

To assist the Examinations team with a variety of tasks as required including data requests and other support at busy times

To respond to students, parents and staff queries via email, telephone, letter or in person, offering a high level of customer service

To help manage the MIS email account and helpdesk

Any other duties required by management and deemed appropriate to the general responsibilities of the post
