We have a fantastic new job opportunity for a Motor VehicleTechnician / Repair and Maintenance Mechanic who has a Semi-Skilled Technical background, experience in maintaining and repairing either manufacturing / plant equipment or Motor Vehicles or HGV / heavy vehicles with excellent problem-solving skills.
Working as the Motor VehicleTechnician / Repair and Maintenance Mechanic you will be required to carry out minor first fix repairs, fluid top ups, battery changes, battery charging, customer fleet inspections, driving duties and driver checks on a wide range of vehicles and Ground support equipment such as towing tractors, aircraft tugs, baggage elevators and a variety of specialist and unique vehicles.
As the Motor VehicleTechnician / Repair and Maintenance Mechanic you will be a good problem solver and will be expected to deliver outstanding levels of customer service, whilst maintaining the highest quality and safety standards in order to effectively maintain onsite equipment and vehicles.
DUTIES
Your duties as the Motor VehicleTechnician / Repair and Maintenance Mechanic include:
- Ensure all preventative works are carried out in a safe and efficient manner
- Respond to all breakdowns in a timely manner
- Ensure electronic records are completed accurately
- Provide updates on job status and progress
- Assist the Recovery Team with vehicle manoeuvring around the workshop or airport as required
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- Semi-Skilled Mechanical/Technical background
- Flexible and adaptable to Customer and operational requirements
- Team Player
- Good knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Driving Licence
- Must be eligible to obtain a valid Airside Pass & Driving Permit
Desirable
- Motor industry environment
- Airport industry environment
- Exposure to Ground Support Equipment, HGV or Plant equipment
- Knowledge of mechanical engineering
- IPAF / ITSSAR MEWP Certificate
- Forklift licence
- HGV Driving Licence
