Form of workJoin a pioneering team at the forefront of gene therapy innovation in London as an MSAT Process Development Scientist, where you will play a crucial role in bridging the gap from discovery to clinic and accelerating the delivery of novel gene therapies to patients in need. As the MSAT Process Development Scientist you will utilise your understanding of chemical and biological processes, employing the latest experimental and computational tools to develop robust and scalable manufacturing processes.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Your duties as the MSAT Process Development Scientist will be varied however the key duties and responsibilities are as follows:
1. Develop and optimise downstream unit operations for the purification of biopharmaceutical products
2. Scale up and tech transfer lab scale unit operations to GMP production facilities.
3. Support manufacturing operations with process implementation and troubleshooting.
4. Drive innovation in manufacturing science and technology, such as the use of new process technologies, high throughput automated development tools, statistical and mechanistic process modelling and DoE tools.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS:
To be successful in your application to this exciting opportunity as the MSAT Process Development Scientist we are looking to identify the following on your profile and past history:
1. Relevant degree in Chemical/Biochemical Engineering discipline or equivalent (e.g. Biochemistry)
2. A working knowledge and practical experience with downstream bioprocess operations, for the purification of biopharmaceutical products.
3. Understanding of GMP and QbD considerations in a large scale manufacturing environment.
