Job description

, An exciting opportunity has arisen to play a key role as a Professional Clinical Educational Lead in the newly established Primary and Community Care Academy in Swansea Bay University Health Board (SBUHB).
, The Multi Professional Primary andCommunity Care Clinical Education Lead post will support the introduction of a comprehensive multi-professional education and training framework.
, The role will support both SBUHB and Health Education Improvement Wales (HEIW) to deliver new approaches to multi-professional training and education across the Health Board. The role will ensure the delivery of high-quality training programmes that meet regulatory requirements and guidance produced by other bodies (for example, Royal Colleges).
, Working with the associate service group director and the academy manager the post holder will have a leading role in establishing the academy.
, The post holder will work with a complex and diverse range of stakeholders including primary care providers, professional collaboratives, local clusters, and Community services. They will also play a key role as part of a broader network of Academy Clinical Leads on a national level across Wales.
, Main duties of the job
, Working with internal and external stakeholders, the role will support services in Primary and Community Care to identify the skillsets needed within the workforce and co-ordinate or commission education and training to meet that need. This includes education and training within Primary and Community Care to support:, , , We are looking for a dynamic individual who has leadership and management skills; able to engage with professionals from all disciplines and to identify common purpose; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders at all levels.
, This is a key role and encompasses leadership, strategic planning and management of key aspects of workforce transformation through education, training and development.
, Provide clinical leadership to the primary care academy.
, Using sound analysis and evaluation skills to coordinate a network of provision at a local level from local education providers including training practices, enhanced training facilities, local colleges, training academies and other local fora.
