The role
As a Multi Skilled Operative, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll conduct a wide range of activities to support the provision of services to UK Nuclear Submarines and Warships, at Clyde, Faslane.

Day to day, you'll provide support to engineering teams to enable the completion of all planned preventative maintenance to ensure the department meets the objectives of the Business

• To provide support to engineering teams to enable the identification and rectification of all system, manufacture, defects and alterations to ensure the continued availability and performance of Clyde HM Submarines, Surface Craft and the Estate.
• Ensure that work is carried out in line with current processes and make suggestions on improving systems and processes to increase productivity in accordance with set objectives and timescales.
• Work within all H&S legislation, Safe Systems Of Work and control of work processes within BM&T Clyde policies.

This role is full time and will be based at HMNB Clyde, near Helensburgh.

Essential experience of the Multi Skilled Operative:

• Engineering activities and equipment e.g. fork lift driving operations, slinging, manual handling.
• Transporting tools, equipment and Personnel onsite
• Risk Assessments, COSHH & Safe Systems of Work
• Control, issue and return of work equipment

Qualifications for the Combat SystemsMulti Skilled Operative:

• All training will be provided, so experience of engineering / operations is not mandatory.
• Driving licence is desirable

The successful candidate must be able to achieve SC security clearance for this role.
