Job description
- Carry out repairs and maintenance to homes in a safe and proper manner, ensuring works are completed to a consistent high standard within target response times.
- Ensure customer homes are maintained to the highest standards and that all statutory and regulatory requirements are met.
- Carry out the work to all customer homes in accordance with current Building Regulations, Health & Safety Legislation.
- Ensure all PPE issued is always worn and accounted for.
- Assist colleagues where necessary to ensure Sovini Property Services obligations are completely fulfilled.
- Meet appraisal targets and support the delivery and achievement of overall business objectives.
- Positively promote and demonstrate the values required by the business.
- Commit to equality and diversity and to promote non-discriminatory practices in all aspects of work undertaken.
- Adhere with the Health and Safety at Work Act to take reasonable care of own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by their acts and omissions.
- Must be able to undertake various types of work including Joinery, plumbing, plastering, tiling, painting, sheet flooring to a high standard
- A knowledge of relevant legislation and/or Codes of Practice i.e. Construction, Building Regulations and Health & Safety.
- Full UK driving licence (Manual).
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate well with homeowners, external agencies and office-based colleagues.
- Ability to plan and prioritise own workload.
- Commitment to providing a high-quality service.
- Excellent communication skills, able to communicate across multiple channels including Microsoft Teams, Face to Face and Email.
- Qualified to a minimum level of City and Guilds NVQ or equivalent (level 3) in Joinery or plumbing.
- Familiar with PDA and other electronic devices.
- Experience working in a social housing environment.
- Good numeracy and literacy.
- Salary of £30,876.97pa
- Monthly tool allowance
- Hours – 40 per week (Monday-Friday).
