About the Role
Working with the Assistant Head of Curriculum, and other peers, the successful applicant will lead and inspire the next generation of music talent through their planning and delivery of the music curriculum. The role includes the marking and assessment of student projects, setting high expectations and motivating our students to be the best that they can be. You will be a role model, providing our students with innovative, practical and employment-led training.
You will collaborate with others to share best practices and ensure that our learners get the highest quality experience. You will work amongst experienced, passionate tutors as well as within a support service provided by our Central Team. Working at Access Creative College means working with learners who are engaged and enthusiastic about the education they are gaining.
The post will be based at our brand new purpose-built and designed 19,000 square feet campus on Commercial Road in London’s East End. This campus will be a creative hub for gaming, esports, music, media and computing.
About You
You will have performance (band) and technology (Logic Pro, etc) skills; these are essential. Desirable skills would include an understanding of music theory, the ability to play an instrument and experience in the music industry.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills which will help you to effectively manage the delivery of high-quality lessons and Schemes of Work and to organise internal and external examination/assessment-related administration including the moderation and verification of coursework and internal course assessments.
Ideally, you will have a degree or equivalent professional qualification in a related subject area, and maths and English qualifications at level 2 (GCSE), Grade 5/C, or above. A teaching qualification is highly desirable but if you don’t have one, we will pay for you to get one and provide you with time to study!

What do we have on offer?
Salary Scale: £24,750 (unqualified) to £33,750 (Senior Lecturer) per annum, pro rata. Salaries are inclusive of £2750 per annum, pro rata London Weighting. (Actual salary for 22.5 hours per week is £14,850 - £20,250 per annum
