We are looking to welcome a National Account Controller to our MMI Commercial team. As well as leading and developing your team, you’ll become the expert for your customer, working effectively within internal and external cross functional teams, highlighting opportunities for both your account and Muller Milk and Ingredients. Leading this large, complex account, your ability to influence and drive strategy into action is key.
Agility, resilience, and a pro-active, can-do attitude are critical for success. In return you’ll be playing a fundamental role in helping to drive forward and shape one of the single largest categories in total FMCG.
Role in detail for the National Account Controller
Overview:
- Deliver company budgeted volume and profit targets for the customer channel
- Shape and deliver market leading, winning customer relationship management
- Develop and implement strategic customer plans that aligns to support the delivery of both the customers and MMIs commercial and wider business strategies
- Negotiation and delivery of annual business plans with key customers
- Development of longer-term sustainable growth plans with key customers to win profitability
- Leading strategy into action - key projects management & delivery
- Engage internal board level stakeholders to commercial customer agenda
- Manage and develop your direct reports and support wider team development
- Utilise Muller strategy and act as a guide for teams to influence their direction, based on contribution to the strategy
- Create an environment where the team are empowered to challenge and take opportunities in line with the Commercial strategy
- Provide the tools and appropriate development that enables effective influence
- Influence at all levels internally and externally
- Work effectively with business departments and key senior stakeholders to identify potential opportunities and improvement
- Champion collaborative relationships and be able to resolve conflicts in a positive manner
- Engage stakeholders with content and style of delivery to drive performance improvement and support joint objectives
- Foresee potential stakeholder needs and align department plans to fulfil those needs
- Welcome feedback and insight to be seen as an opportunity to develop relationships
Experience Required and Key Skills: -
- Extensive experience in an Account Controller or SNAM role, delivering strategic growth for customers – Ideally for a Top 4 Retailer
- FMCG experience in Sales/Commercial/Strategy roles
- Experience of Private Label would be an advantage
- Significant experience in leading and developing a team
- Strategic thinker – can create insight and vision, pulling together pieces from different sources
- Engaging – can build relationships and influence, both internally and externally
- Team leader – can manage, coach and develop direct reports and the wider team
