Job description

Successful, growing over the counter (OTC) pharmaceutical and health and beauty business is looking for aNational Account Manager to join their team. This is a newly created role due to growth and our client have plans to double their business in the next 5 years. This is a real opportunity make your mark within the business!

About the role:

  • The National Account Manager will work with the Own Brand team to deliver increased sales and account distribution penetration via strategic account management to help achieve overall growth targets
  • Assessment of new and existing customer channel opportunities
  • To implement own brand commercial joint business plans
  • Take leading role in presentations and proposals for own brands within key and National Accounts, including meeting clients with their Account Managers to promote the benefits of our brands within their channel.
  • Lead the creation and improvement of sales tools to support all customer facing teams, to deliver a step change in distribution gains for our own brands.
  • Monitoring & identifying market trends, competitors, and new sales leads.
  • Accountable for establishing, maintaining and managing relations with key decision makers to enable access to our own brands
  • Being open and creative to different ways of driving new business and growing existing business for the department and improving collaborative partnerships with key customers and internal stakeholders
  • This is an autonomous role where you will be encouraged to create / improve sales tools and develop strategy to step change distribution gains for our own brands. This includes the creation, monitoring and maintenance of customer specific own brand schemes / rebate structures

Experience

  • Knowledge and experience within the FMCG, Wholesale or Retail sectors
  • Knowledge of the healthcare market and understanding of our key competitors desirable
  • IT skills - advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills is beneficial
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritise and work to deadlines
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
