National Sales Manager - High Value Recycling Capital Machinery

Package: £45,000 - £50,000 basic highly competitive OTE plus, Company Car, fuel card, Pension, health care and Life insurance.

Ideally based in the North covering UK

21 days holiday, rising to 25 after 4 years’ plus 8 days bank holidays.

LWS Services are proud to be the chosen recruitment partner of a world-renowned manufacturer of Industrial recycling machinery. Due to company growth within the UK, there is now an exciting opportunity for an ambitious National Sales Manager to join their rapidly expanding team.

Role & Responsibilities

• Drive sales of shredding equipment by identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target organisations.
• You will be relentless in your pursuit for success.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that existing clients are satisfied with the products, addressing concerns, and identifying opportunities to increase sales.
• Conduct market research to identify trends, competitor products, and test market products. Use this information to develop sales strategies and identify potential areas for growth.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the company’s capital equipment products, including features, benefits, and value propositions, use this knowledge to effectively communicate with customers and stakeholders to ensure that equipment meets the customer expectations and requirements using a consultative approach.
• Meet or exceed sales targets and KPI's consistently.
• Monitor sales performance and make necessary adjustments to strategies and tactics when required to deal with market fluctuations.

Qualifications / Experience /Knowledge

• Commercially astute and able to nurture relationships over long sales cycles.
• A technical minded person who will ideally have progressed from an engineering background and understands the "Value Sell".
• Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, or related field or several years’ experience in a technical sales role.
• Must have experience selling a value sale- selling the concept -showing how the investment can make the customer money, good quality Sales not bottom price discounts.
• Ability to overachieve within senior sales role, within capital equipment sales & happy to provide evidence of previous sales achievements.
• Able to hold able to hold credible conversations, along with strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
• Willing to travel as required in the UK and Ireland, Europe and worldwide.
• Hold a full valid driving licence.

Additional Information:

• Commission - with company car (Hybrid car higher spec - will advise make / model or similar) - no car allowance.
• Hours - 40 hrs per week (08.00-17.00 Mon to Thurs and 08.00 - 15.30 Fri)
• 21 days holiday, rising to 25 after 4 years’ service.
