What will the role look like?
The purpose of this role is to enable young people aged 16 – 17 who are unemployed, or at risk of unemployment to access Employment, Education and Training through 1-1, group work and residential based activities. The team will provide tailored support for young people focussing on improving outcomes and associated barriers to progress so that they are empowered to take an active role in making decisions about their future.
The NEET Engagement worker will co-ordinate and support a caseload of young people on a 1-1 basis with some elements of group work or activities as part of the overall Leeds Nxt Steps targeted fund partnership delivery model.
The Leeds Nxt Steps partnership model combines community based 1-1 work (Barca), group work (Leeds Youth Alliance) and residentials (Leeds City Council) ensuring sustained progression for young people throughout the programme and moving towards education, employment and training.
What we are looking for?
Do you have experience in working with young people at risk of or already not in education, employment or training (NEET)?
Are you passionate about helping vulnerable people in the community?
Do you have the knowledge to provide support and advice around job searching, CV writing and interviewing?
If so, we would love to hear from you.
