SalaryWe are seeking a Network Design Engineer/Network Designer to join our Global IT Services Company in a permanent position. The role will be based in Basingstoke, Hampshire, UK (5 days on-site).
Responsibilities & Skills:
- Network design (HLD & LLD)
- Network solution prototyping
- Configuring network devices
- Previous experience with Juniper SRX or Fortinet FortiGate
- Previous experience Cisco routing and switching devices
- Demonstrable understanding of OSPF, EIGRP and BGP routing protocols.
- Demonstrable understanding of NAT, GRE Tunnelling protocol, DMVPN Tunnelling Protocol, Subnetting & Supernetting.
- Previous troubleshooting and support experience.
- Network implementation in an offline environment
- The successful applicant will be a Network Design Engineer/Network Designer, joining the existing Network Solution Build team.
- The successful Network Design Engineer/Network Designer will work closely with the Solution Owner and Architects to assist with the instantiating of design documentation, on a wide variety of network solutions, varying in size and complexity.
A national security clearance is required for this role so candidates must either hold this level of clearance or be willing to achieve this.
