Your future duties and responsibilities
As a 2nd LineNetwork Engineer, you will provide 2nd Line support working on incidents, changes and problems with a limited range of networking and/or voice technologies and infrastructure. You will also support Trainees and 3rd line Engineers.
You will be involved in the following activities;
Analyses and resolves mid-level incidents occurring on network/voice infrastructure
Analyses standard change requests on network/voice infrastructure and accept into service
Analyses standard change requests on network/voice infrastructure, develops plans, implements, and tests
Analyses problems on network/voice infrastructure, developing and implementing long-term solutions
Assists in the installation, upgrade, test, audit, and documentation of network/voice infrastructure
Assists in the implementation, upgrade, population, and maintenance of a Network/Voice Management System
Supports business continuity testing that involves network/voice infrastructure
Advises customers, account teams, other technical teams, and management on more complex matters relating to incidents, changes, and problems on network/voice infrastructure
Where applicable if shifts not in situ, provide on call support on a rota basis.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with 2nd Line support experience, who is perhaps looking to move into a consulting role with the opportunity to develop and move into 3rd line support.
You must be able to multi-task, be comfortable speaking to external clients on a regular basis and demonstrate excellent written and spoken communication skills.
