Position Overview
As the public face of the IT Department, you will be servicing a broad range of customers across range of network technologies.
Responsibilities
,This seasoned IT professional will play a pivotal role in supporting IT infrastructure, networks, and security.
,Handling requests ranging from routing/switching, firewall, VoIP, and IT support
,Support, configure, and install network security devices, primarily Sonicwall and Fortinet.
,Maintain and enhance documentation of customers' network environment.
,Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues.
,Collaborate with vendors and other IT teams for issue resolution.
,Responsible for implementing network infrastructures.
,Conduct network maintenance and system upgrades, including service packs, patches, and security configurations.
,Adhere to established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval, and success of changes to the network infrastructure.
Candidate Requirements
Essential Skills and personal qualities
,IT Degree or equivalent combination of qualifications and experience.
,Previous experience in supporting Network Routing, Switching, Security.
,Knowledge in several of the following areas: Logging, network access control, Sonicwall or Fortinet routing and switching, VPN, configuration of firewalls.
,Experience in virtualization technologies, such as VMware.
,Experience in storage/backup best practices for hardware and operating systems.
,Proficient technical knowledge of current network hardware, protocols, and Internet standards, including excellent hardware troubleshooting skills.
