Network Engineer

Do you have proven experience in Network automation? If so, our IT Infrastructure team have a vacancy for somebody to join the team in Manchester on a contract basis.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Some of the key activities include:

• Live incident resolution in hours and out of hours when on call
• Managing and implementing on boarding network projects under BAU
• Resolving network communications and operations problems impacting customer or backbone access and performance globally.
• Participating in network and infrastructure related initiatives
• Performance monitor and tune the LAN/WAN/WIFI networks
• Maintaining and updating documentation
• Developing automation to increase network operations efficiency
• Supporting changes in Data Centres and sites.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• A solid understanding of IT infrastructures, concepts and solutions and experience in troubleshooting complex network issues
• Certifications in Cisco (CCNP/CCIE), Architecture and Security preferred
• Experience with the following technologies:
• Cisco Routing, WIFI and Switching
• Cisco Nexus / ACI
• Cisco Firepower firewalls
• Zscaler
• Tufin
• Ansible / Terraform
• Python
• Brocade
• Voice
• Cloud Networking
• Experience in Network automation
• Cloud networking experience in Azure and/or AWS
• Experience designing, implementing, and operating tooling to support the automation of network operations and reporting.
• Autonomously driving and coordinating multi-team, network-based projects with your experience in Trading companies
• Linux skills, Windows Server networking tools (managing DHCP, DNS), VMware knowledge are needed
• Experience with scripting
