My client, a global financial services company are looking for an experienced Senior Pre-Sales Network Design Engineer to join their team on a contract basis in Manchester.

The successful candidate will be comfortable presenting extranet designs to external clients, vendors, and partners; develops client-specific designs in PowerPoint and Visio using approved solutions; understands application flow through a private extranet connection, with respect to Firewalls, Load-balancers, and routers and provides technical oversight to clients throughout the on-boarding process.

Candidates will ideally have:

• WAN Connectivity - VPN, MPLS, Managed Network Providers (Radianz, TNS, etc), Colo Cross-connects
• External client presentation skills
• Diagram Skills (Visio and PowerPoint)

Desirable skills:

• Application Network Flow - able to understand - and diagram application traffic from the core, through the DMZ, and out to the client
• DMZ components : Firewalls, Load Balancers, Cisco Routers, Cisco SDWAN
