The role
- This role is a mixture of project work and BAU. Within the Network Services Team, you will oversee the day-to-day operation of the 3rd line Network Support service, whilst making proactive changes to drive efficiencies within the network. You will ensure the business applications perform to a high level whilst adhering to policies and procedures.
- Provide highly efficient and effective service to the business in network and security infrastructure, data centres, and server rooms
- Assist with configuration management and auditing of all infrastructure services.
- Monitor systems, alert and remediate issues
- Assist with auditing of network infrastructure and data center services.
- Assist in updating documentation to reflect the exact systems configuration.
- Regularly update all tickets and provide written reports.
- Perform day-to-day activities and checks as part of the ongoing maintenance of assigned services, ensuring that they are carried out in a timely manner and that a forward schedule of maintenance and upgrades is implemented.
- Build and maintain relationships with global and regional teams, and attend regular meetings with global functions.
The requirements:
- CCNA or CCNP Qualification (Cisco)
- Experience with Network and hosting concepts
- Experience working with Checkpoint, Cisco, FortiGate Firewalls and/or Cisco Meraki.
- Experience troubleshooting and diagnosing network issues on cloud-based services.
- Experience using ServiceNow or similar ITSM Tools
- Knowledge of ITIL Service Management practices
