Network Modeller
Role Description
The Engineering & Sustainability Directorate is responsible for the planning and delivery of a major rolling programme of capital investment in water and wastewater assets. Asset Management is a key section within that and this role reports to the Network Optimization Manager within the Hydraulic Modelling team. The overall capital works programme is usually circa £100 – £120 million pa.
As part of the in-house hydraulic modelling team you will support delivery of the overall hydraulic modelling scope of work, support the development of hydraulic models, update the model stock and support all modelling requirements of internal stakeholders.
The role will also work closely with individual project managers and project sponsors.

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA
1. Have a 3rd level qualification degree/HNC/HND in an engineering or geography related discipline and 2 year’s recent experience in hydraulic modelling of urban drainage networks in industry standard software packages (specifically InfoWorks ICM and InfoAsset), covering all stages of the modelling process
OR (in the absence of a 3rd level qualification):
Have 5 year’s recent experience in hydraulic modelling of urban drainage networks in industry standard software packages (specifically InfoWorks ICM and InfoAsset), covering all stages of the modelling process or related areas such as GIS modelling
2. Demonstrable Water Industry Experience
3. Experience of managing time effectively, prioritising workloads and working to competing deadlines
4. Experience of wastewater network data analysis, capacity assessments, feasibility studies and subsequent technical report writing
5. Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence internal stakeholders
6. Hold a full, current driving license or access to a form of transport to enable you to fulfil your responsibilities

Salary
This role offers a competitive remuneration package with a salary scale of £33,670 - £44,893 per annum (pay award pending).
The starting salary will normally be at the first point of the scale.
