The University of Leeds has been entrusted by the UK government to spearhead the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR) Research Delivery Network Coordinating Centre (RDNCC). This prestigious endeavour, joined by 12 Regional Delivery Networks across the nation, will form the NIHR Research Delivery Network (RDN). Operating as a unified organisation, we aim to balance regional expertise with national strategy, serving as a beacon for health, public health, and social care research.
Position Overview:
As a vital member of the RDN national leadership team, you'll provide visible, dynamic, and effective senior leadership, overseeing Network Operations across the RDN. Your role entails directing and leading essential business support functions, managing performance across Regional Research Delivery Networks (RRDNs), and ensuring strategic and operational alignment.
Key Responsibilities:
Direct and lead business support functions crucial for RDN customer-facing services.
Serve as the key director linking the RDNCC with the 12 Regional Research Delivery Networks, managing performance and ensuring strategic alignment.
Oversee RDN funding, financial management, contracts, and associated controls and assurances.
Lead a team dedicated to driving organisational transformation and fostering a culture of collaboration and innovation
Collaborate with other Directors to drive organisational transformation and cultivate a unified culture across the RDN.
What We're Looking For:
Strong strategic planning skills coupled with operational knowledge of the RDN.
Ability to provide credible leadership across organisational boundaries and navigate complex management hierarchies.
Inspirational leadership qualities with the ability to influence stakeholders across diverse settings.
