The role – Network Technician.
The salary - £30,000 - £35,000.
The location – Edinburgh (hybrid, 3 days in office, 2 days home working).
Our professional software client is looking to add a Network Technician to their growing Edinburgh team, as they continue to expand globally. Based out of their Edinburgh office you’ll act as an escalation point for the service team on tickets related to networking, utilising your experience with Juniper networking, Cisco and firewall technology to support the customer experience.

Your day-to-day:
- Troubleshooting end user connectivity related to offices and datacentres.
- Support and troubleshoot on premise networks including routers, switches, access points and circuits.
- Create and manage firewalls including Palo Alto, Meraki and Juniper Networks.
- Support VPNs with hardware, policy-based routing and cloud based computing and milti-platform connectivity.
- Work directly with clients to understand their requirements and potential issues for network infrastructure.
- Communicate directly with clients and colleagues.
About you:
- You’ll have experience working with Juniper firewalls and switches using Juniper mist.
- Excellent fault diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in relation to LAN/WAN.
- In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, Spanning Tree, VPN and IPSEC.
- An understanding of the OSI model and TCP/IP networking.
- Experience utilising network monitoring platforms.
- Experience with Juniper SRX, Meraki MC and Palo Alto.
- Experience working with ITSM tools.
