TSR Legal have recently partnered with a well regarded top tier law firm based in Cheltenham, in the search for a Partner to sit within the Private Client department. Our client are a reputable law firm dedicated to providing high-quality legal services to there clients across a variety of practice areas including, corporate, real estate, commercial litigation and family.. With a focus on Private Client matters, the role will involve a wide range of Private Client matters including, estate planning, wills, trusts, probate and COP matters.
Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor to join this dynamic team. The successful candidate will lead the Private Client department, overseeing a range of matters including will drafting, estate planning, trust administration, and probate. This role offers the opportunity to manage a diverse caseload, provide strategic advice, and contribute to the growth and development of the firm's Private Client practice. The role would suit an individual who is currently a Senior Associate looking for that next step up or a Legal Director/Partner looking to join a leading regional firm.
Responsibilities:
Manage a broad caseload of Private Client matters
Provide high-quality legal advice and assistance to clients, ensuring their needs and objectives are met effectively.
Lead and mentor junior solicitors and support staff within the Private Client department.
Develop and maintain strong client relationships, demonstrating a commitment to exceptional client service.
Stay updated on changes in relevant legislation and industry best practices to ensure compliance and provide informed advice.
Contribute to business development activities, including networking, client seminars, and marketing initiatives to attract new clients and grow the Private Client practice.
Requirements:
Qualified solicitor with at least 7 years experience in Private Client
Demonstrated expertise in drafting wills, trusts, and estate planning documents.
Strong knowledge of probate administration, inheritance tax, and asset protection strategies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
Proven leadership abilities, with experience in supervising and mentoring junior staff.
Commercial acumen and the ability to contribute to business development initiatives.
Membership in relevant professional bodies and a commitment to continuing professional development.
