Job Elements
- To provide administrative support to the New Product Development department, assisting in ensuring the smooth introduction and first production of New Products.
- Review and analyse technical specifications and internal control plans.
- Create Bills of Materials using analysed data.
- Develop product barcode labels and manage the customer approval process.
- Carry out the New Product Sample collection process.
- Manage quality-controlled standards for all new components.
- Create Purchase Orders for trial components and departmental stationery requirements.
- Liaise with Suppliers, Commercial, Purchasing and from time to time, customers.
- Provide general administrative support for the Department.
What the company is looking for in the successful candidate:
- Very Good standard of general education.
- G.C.S.E. Mathematics and English, grades A*-C (or equivalent).
- Proficient in use of Microsoft Office software (ideally Intermediate Excel)
- Understanding of supply chain and associated lead times.
- Experience of liaising in-house and externally with people at all levels.
- Knowledge of Sage Databases, with particular reference to creating internal codes and Bills of Materials.
