Product Operations Analyst

About the role

The Product Operations Analyst role within Jigsaw24 is a pivotal role, helping drive the success of a number of teams through the execution of relevant processes. Collaborating with several key stakeholders, you’ll assist the Product Operations Manager in ensuring stockholding exposure is managed & reported and product SKUs are effectively marketed both internally & externally.  You’ll drive the exit strategy of stock and ensure Jigsaw retains the best commercial value possible.

Key activities and Responsibilities:

• Ensure aged stock holdings are accurately managed monthly, and ensure the report is distributed in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders.
• Ensure stock required for alternative business functions is accurately managed monthly, and ensure the report is distributed in a timely manner to relevant stakeholders.
• Assist with accurate valuations of stock within aged/non-sale pools through benchmarking activities and processing revaluations via the ERP system.
• Manage the exit of clearance stock from the business through several methods whilst retaining maximum value, including but not limited to listing SKUs on online auctions, investigating trade-in valuations, recyclers & internal sales. 
• Support the Product Operations Manager with any relevant project work via data processing, analysis, SKU manipulation, planning etc. 
• Assist the Procurement and Sales team with SKU creation activities, including but not limited to product launches, price amendments, customer portal lists etc.
• Ensure a monthly code maintenance process is implemented, which includes the evaluation of SKUs to be made obsolete, code descriptions are standardised and relevant keywords are maintained on each SKU.
• Assist the Product Management and Procurement teams by ensuring any special offers are made effective in a timely manner via the ERP system, and ensure special offers effective dates are maintained.
• Assist the Product Management team with their portfolio strategy through adding SKU data via the ERP system e.g. keywords & companions.
• Ensure the web presence of all SKUs on the Jigsaw website is kept accurate and up-to-date.
• Work with the Product Management and Procurement teams to ensure the timely upload of SKUs to the website via adding web profiles on the ERP system.
• Manage stock levels on a monthly basis for non-physical stock, to allow for stock to be available as and when required by the Sales team, and ensuring this stock does not become aged.
• You may also be required to carry out any other duties which may be reasonably required

Skills and Knowledge:

Essential:

• An interest in developing knowledge of business process es and the wider impact of  process management within the business
• IT skills – Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Analytical mindset with the ability to solve problems and make data-driven decisions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Strong, proactive communication skills, able to gain commitment and buy-in to a common vision and clearly stated goals
• Commercial acumen providing the ability to make and justify decisions
• Ability to ‘think outside the box’ to offer achievable solutions under pressure
• Organised and methodical in approach

Desireable:

• Experience working with large SKU counts and datasets
• Experience in Product Operations, data entry, or inventory management roles, preferably within an e-commerce or retail environment.
• Proficiency in using inventory management systems, databases, and e-commerce platforms.
