Nhs Medical Secretary

Manpower is recruiting Medical Secretaries to work for our Public Sector client the NHS.
As a Medical Secretary you will provide comprehensive administrative support to Consultants and their teams. Responsibilities including managing schedules, arranging clinics, liaising with medical staff, patients and support services as well as handling communication.
The ability to meet the demands of working in a busy environment and is able to represent the department with due professionalism together with excellent communication and organisation skills is essential.
Main duties and responsibilities

• Manage Consultant schedules, arranging clinics, manage correspondence and undertake audio and typing duties
• Provide advice to patients, track case notes, accurately record patient details and manage information on CANISC / WPAS / WCP
• Adhere to incident reporting procedures, ensuring accurate information recording.

Qualifications and experience

• Previous secretarial experience, medical experience preferred
• Ability to copy and audio type
• Excellent organisation and communication skills
• Experience of using WPAS / WCP / DMS / CANISC
• Customer service experience
