Further information is available at: www.ktponline.org.uk THE PROJECT The University of Essex, in partnership with Recruitment Smart Technologies, offers an exciting opportunity to a graduate with the relevant skills and knowledge to develop a novel Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP) ‘Job Discovery’ framework. The main aim of this AI-based framework is to help provide a superlative candidate advice and access to all potential opportunities when visiting the career page of an organisation. This exciting job opportunity is fixed term for 30 months and is based at Recruitment Smart’s offices in London. DUTIES OF THE POST The duties of the post will include:  Expanding knowledge/technical competence by applying a range of methods and techniques in NLP, AI, deep learning and predictive modelling Training ML models with an existing extensive database of candidates and positions Training and developing a new Chatbot for recruitment processes Expanding existing algorithms and evaluating which will be most commercially beneficial within a specific deployment Ensuring highest standards by using concepts of trustworthy and explainable AI (XAI) Developing a front-end platform incorporating recruiter and user requirements Managing a large dataset and ensuring it is suitably prepared for use in training a model Contributing to publications/conference papers Communicating with a range of stakeholders Project leadership These duties are a guide to the work that the post holder will initially be required to undertake. They may be changed from time to time to meet changing circumstances. KEY REQUIREMENTS Master’s Degree, or equivalent experience, in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or related technical field Knowledge/experience of Python and related libraries Experience working as an NLP or AI Engineer/Data Scientist, or on academic related projects, solving problems related to text processing Knowledge of modern NLP processing tools/techniques Understanding/experience of modern software development practices Understanding/experience of the fundamentals of Data Science and Machine Learning Understanding/experience of the fundamentals of trustworthy and explainable AI (XAI) Understanding/experience of working with large datasets Problem solving skills, organisational skills and a high level of attention to detail and quality A high level of written and spoken English Excellent communication skills  BENEFITS As a KTP Associate, the post will offer the following benefits: A personal development budget of £5000 (exclusive of salary).
