We’re seeking an entrepreneurial and ambitious individual to join our client’s team in the vibrant South-East of the UK to assist them to expand their non-retail customer base and nurture their existing customer partnerships.
Reporting to the Commercial Director, the Non-Retail Sales Manager will develop and execute a strategic plan to drive sales growth and offer the best service and products to their existing customers.
Our client is a multi-generational run business with sites in the Southeast of the UK and also in Europe. They are unique as they are specialist growers who pride themselves on their growing techniques and varieties to provide their customers with the best quality and flavour of defined fresh produce lines that they are experts in.
If you are a motivated sales professional with a proven track record in customer account management, and potentially have a knowledge of the fresh produce sectors and thrive in a fast-paced environment, our client would be very keen to talk to you about their opportunity.
What does the role involve?
- Drive sales growth and manage customer relationships in the non-retail sector, ensuring customer satisfaction and retention.
- Conduct visits to key customers and actively pursue new client opportunities.
- Develop and execute strategic plans to expand the customer base.
- Coordinate with the procurement team to optimise stock and supply chain efficiency.
- Provide regular sales statistics and reports, meeting agreed monthly targets.
- Act as a liaison between customers and management, addressing any issues promptly and effectively.
- Stay informed about market trends and pricing.
- Support junior team members and contribute to business development initiatives.
What We Are Looking For From You:
- Proven experience in customer account management.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills.
- Commercial acumen, with experience working closely with operational teams.
- Excellent organisational and time management abilities.
- Demonstrable proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications – Word, Outlook, Excel.
- Experience in the fresh produce market is desirable.
- An ability to build and maintain strong relationships.
