Remit:
- As NPI Tooling Engineer you will be responsible for project management of Tooling (in-house & externally) through quotation stage, sourcing, design, development & launch into the production facility.
- The successful candidate will be a time-served Injection Moulding Design/Tooling Engineer, automotive experience would be highly desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities:
- Support New Business Development activities by conducting DFM and Moldflow and preparation of relevant reports
- Provide Tooling, Part, & Ancillary equipment Design support for NPI, Toolroom and Production Departments
- Liaise with customers and third-party companies on part and tool design & development related matters
- Support design and tooling related activities for internal cross functional teams to ensure NPI projects are on time, in full and on budget
- Travel overseas and within the U.K managing tooling to ensure on time on budget delivery
- Manage Tooling changes through ECN as assigned by Project Managers
- Maintain required records for your NPI activities - timing plans, trackers, status reports, etc
- Provide fringe Design and technical support for the Operations team when necessary
- Act as a liaison between different departments, fostering effective communication and collaboration to align teams towards common project goals.
- Champion and enhance departmental documented processes & promote adherence. IATF16949 and ISO14001.
Experience:
- Time served Design/Tooling Engineer with injection moulding bias
- Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in Engineering
- Injection mould toolmaking, tool design and tool project management experience
- Experience with 3D modelling and 2D drawings
- Competency in CAD design using Siemens NX is desirable
- Automotive industry knowledge, IATF16949 and other sector specific standards, e.g. medical or aerospace would be desirable
- Driving licence essential as you will be required to travel within the UK
- Personable with the ability to build close relationships at all levels including customers and suppliers
- Strong technical acumen, be a logical thinker with attention to detail
