Job description
Support the Ward/Department Sister in her general management function and in the coordination of high quality services to patients and relatives. Under the direction of the Ward/Department Sister, lead in the development of all aspects of nursing within the unit, through the professional development of nursing staff, the implementation of evidence based practice and clinical audit. Function as a principal support to the Ward/Department Sister, who has continuing responsibility and deputising for the Ward/Department Sister in her absence. .

A minimum of 2 years post-registration experience within an acute hospital based setting.Evidence of having taken responsibility for the management of a ward or department.Registered Nurse on Part 1 of the live NMC Adult Register.Have a Nursing Degree and 2 years post-registration experience within relevant care setting.
