Academics are recruiting on behalf of an 'Outstanding' Primary SEN School who have a Pre School on site. They are based in Southampton and are looking to appoint experienced and compassionate Special Needs Assistant's to join them as soon as possible on a long term, possible temp to perm basis.
This is a full-time, term-time contract. If you are looking for a permanent position and get on well, they will look to take you on a temp to perm contract so please only apply if you are ultimately looking for a permanent position.
To be considered for this position as an SEN Nursery Assistant you MUST have GCSE C or above in English and Maths, or level 2 Functional Skills English and Maths.
Full-time - Mon & Fri 8.15AM - 2.45PM, if you are unable to commit to these hours, please do not apply.
They are looking for a hardworking and resilient Special School Assistants with experience working in early years, who are able to build positive relationships with young people, who can support, motivate and encourage the children with their learning and act as a positive role model. The school caters for young children with complex learning difficulties including autism, speech and language disorders and challenging behaviours.
The successful SEN Nursery Assistant will ideally have had experience of working with children within a school setting. Experience of using PECS, Makaton etc would be an advantage. They are looking for support staff who are compassionate, enthusiastic, reliable and resilient.
