We are working with an exclusive group of Nurseries and Schools around the London area. Their aim is to provide each individual child with all the skills they can develop in a safe, secure and full of stimuli environment.
The Nursery Chef will:
- Independently manage all aspects of the kitchen to ensure children receive healthy, balanced and nutritious meals and snacks during the day.
- Manage ordering, recipe development and service of food in a timely manner.
- Dietary Requirements: Ensure all dietary requirements and allergies are appropriately catered for.
- Develop Menus: Work with the Head and Director to plan and implement a range of delicious menus and weaning plans.
- Event Food: Prepare food for Nursery events taking place on and off site.
- Ensure high standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.
- Keep detailed records of food temperatures, fridge and freezer temperatures, cleaning records and any other records introduced by the management team.
Qualifications/Education
NVQ level 2 in Food Hygiene
Minimum of two years' catering background
Minimum of two years’ experience dealing with finance and budgets
This role will require an Enhanced DBS check
This role is not hybrid
