Job Title: Nursery Education Officer x 5 based at Linden Children’s Centre & Family Hub
Terms and conditions: 3 X Full Time (36 hours) and 2 X Part Time (21hrs) Fixed term until 31 August 2025 - Job share and term only could be considered.
Salary: Scale 5 £31,716 - £33, 204 (FTE). (inc LW) pro-rata
We are looking to appoint 5 Nursery Education Officers to join our dedicated nursery team to improve the outcomes for children in Hackney. Your role will be to help us achieve a safe, healthy and stimulating environment where activities enable children to grow and develop in line with good practice standards. As an excellent communicator, you will need to be enthusiastic and committed to rising standards.
These are ideal positions for someone looking to be an integral part of an outstanding nursery providing a service to diverse families in the community. Significant professional experience of working within a culturally diverse educational childcare environment is essential. You must have good interpersonal, and relationship building skills and possess good assessment skills. The centre also has Forest School designation and there are opportunities for you to access training to enable you to lead and deliver Forest School sessions.
An NVQ3 qualification in childcare or equivalent is essential for this role. You will be required to work flexible hours as the centre operates a shift system.
NB: This post requires an Enhanced DBS check.
