Nursery Manager/Deputy Manager
Position Overview: Our vibrant nursery is seeking a dynamic and experienced Nursery Manager or Deputy Manager to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership qualities, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for early childhood education. This role offers the possibility of taking on the additional responsibility of Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO) for interested candidates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and management to ensure the smooth operation of the nursery.
- Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
- Foster a positive learning environment that promotes the social, emotional, and cognitive development of each child.
- Support and mentor staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
- Maintain effective communication with parents, staff, and external agencies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and health and safety standards.
- Collaborate with the management team to drive continuous improvement and achieve nursery goals.
- Take on the role of Special Education Needs Coordinator (SENCO) if interested, ensuring the inclusion and support of children with special educational needs and disabilities.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education or equivalent (Level 4/5 desirable).
- Significant experience in a leadership role within a nursery setting.
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and statutory requirements.
- Experience working with children with special educational needs and disabilities (SENCO qualification desirable).
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and lead by example.
- Office based role.
Salary and Benefits: Salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications, ranging from £30,000 to £40,000 per annum (pro rata if necessary). This role offers the opportunity for career progression and promotion based on performance and achievements within the role. Additional benefits may be discussed during the interview process.
