St Crispin’s is a special school for primary and secondary age pupils.
The school meets the needs of learners with complex, long term additional support needs who require a significantly modified learning environment. The needs of learners are primarily associated with learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders.
We moved in to our new building in Burdiehouse in early 2022. Facilities include 12 classrooms, Art, Music, Home Economics classrooms, a PE hall and swimming pool. We also benefit from sensory and soft play rooms. A separate Behavioural Assessment Unit is also on site.
Each class has a maximum of 6 learners. Nursery Nurses work as part of a class team, along with the class teacher and Pupil Support Assistants, to support each learner to reach their full potential.
It is desirable that applicants should have experience working with children with learning disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorder.
