Nursery Practitioner (Unqualified)

We are recruiting for a Nursery Assistant - Practitioner to join our team at Mornington House Day Nursery in Clifton. This is a full-time role – 40 hours per week. The nurseries are open from 7.30am until 6pm and candidates must be available to work 8 hour shifts, including a half hour paid lunch break, during those hours. The nursery is closed from 3pm on Christmas Eve until the New Year.

Bristol Childcare is an established family-run business with three nurseries across Bristol. We care for our staff so that they can care for the children. This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced and friendly team in our busy and thriving, but homely, nursery. If you are qualified then we would also love to hear from you. If you would like to train then we can support the right candidate to study towards their Level 3 childcare qualification.

THE ROLE

You will work with the children as part of a team setting up an engaging environment; responding to the children’s needs; working with families as a Key Person and observing, assessing and supporting each child’s development.

YOU WILL NEED

A sense of fun and a love of working with children.

Good communication skills with children, parents and colleagues, and the ability to work in a busy environment.

The successful applicants will also actively promote and support the safeguarding of children and young people in the workplace, ensuring nursery policies and procedures are observed at all times.
