Royston Nursery who offer quality childcare for children aged 6 weeks to 5 years old are seeking a passionate Room Leader to join their team in the under 2's room. Our nursery is open from 7:30-18:00 and we would require you to work 40 hours per week.
Royston Nursery is located just round the corner from Royston train station and a stones throw away from the town centre. The nursery is a big, busy but warm and welcoming space, with wraparound gardens perfect for little adventurers and their own outdoor classroom. The nursery has a home-from-home feel and environments are cosy and inviting, providing ample opportunities for children to play and explore.
What do we ask of you?
Provide stimulating and purposeful experiences, environments, and resources to children, that are appropriate to their age and stage of development.
Promote respect and credibility for this position by leading as a role model with impartiality and consistency.
Assist with embedding an effective key person approach to enable children to form secure attachments and identify training or development needs for staff.
Understand and ensure that the requirements of the statutory framework for the EYFS are met.

Qualifications and Skills:
Full and relevant Level 3 in Childcare qualification - Essential.
Sound knowledge of Ofsted expectations to achieve a Good or Outstanding rating - Desirable.
Knowledge of the statutory framework for the EYFS and regulatory requirements - Essential.
Fluent in written and spoken English - Essential.
