'The WonderWorks' is the first nursery provider dedicated to the UK film industry. We are looking for an experienced Nursery Room and Team Leader (or Senior Nursery Practitioner/ teacher wanting progression) to join our Leavesden Nursery team. It is essential that applicants have a good knowledge of child development, and a specific passion for supporting the learning and development of 2-5-year-olds in a mixed age group environment. We will only consider candidates who have leadership experience and who have experience working with children under 5. Our nursery takes a child-centred and interest-based approach, with less focus on school-readiness and more emphasis on getting children 'life-ready'. Children at The WonderWorks are cared for with respect and understanding, and we incorporate aspects of 'Reggio Emilia', 'Pikler' and 'Hygge' as influences for our educational approach. We suggest that before applying, anyone interested in the role please visit our website: Required criteria: Minimum Early Years Level 3 qualification Previous experience working with children aged 2-5 years, preferably in a setting focused on a child-centred approach to education Strong leadership and some management skills Creative, fun and imaginative team player Strong understanding and knowledge of the EYFS and child development Role responsibilities: Leading a team of nursery teachers with the support of our Senior Nursery Teacher- inspiring team members to deliver high quality care and learning opportunities. Monitoring and upholding all policies and procedures. Supporting, inspiring and guiding children aged 2-5 years to become curious learners, monitoring and leading the planning and observation of children, will have a small Key Group. Managing resources and budgets within the room, role modelling planning, setting up an exciting and enabling environment, and carrying out activities or play with children.
