The AFHW will work as part of a team, delivering health and social care that focuses on the holistic needs of service users. The Advanced Family Health Worker will be expected to work within a variety of settings and environments. This may involve transporting a variety of equipment, such as scales. The work may also involve working at different surface levels whilst interacting with children. Due to the unpredictable nature of the work the worker may encounter stressful situations.
