The Well Travelled Clinic is looking to recruit an Occupational Health Advisor to work flexibly across our Liverpool and Chester clinics.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced 1 level Registered Nurse to join our team and drive quality standards with our suite of Occupational Health services.
The job will involve working 30 hours per week, between Monday-Saturday to fit the needs of the clinic schedules. This will involve being part of a rota for clinics - standard rota will be 28 hours per week plus 2 Saturday mornings per month.
You will be responsible for setting and maintaining quality standards within our OH services and providing a full range of Occupational Health services and surveillance for a group of clients. You will also be contributing to a portfolio of Clinical Research Projects in accordance with Good Clinical Practice Guidelines and research governance standards for clinical research studies.
You will also carry out individualised travel risk assessments for business, leisure, and occupational travellers, providing up to date, evidence-based information, advice and education on travel and Occupational Health, immunisations, and malaria prophylaxis, including advising complex travellers.

Education & training
- Experienced 1 level Registered Nurse
- Educated to degree level or equivalent experience
- Postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health nursing
Experience
- Delivery of an Occupational Health Service
- Organise and supervise health care clinics
- Experience with field of travel health or vaccinations, and/or immunisation
Knowledge, skills & competencies
- Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to relate to a wide range of people and explain information simply and provide high standards of client care
- Ability to train and supervise others
- Self-motivated and a good team player
General and personal characteristics
- Capable of working on own initiative and able to work under pressure to meet objectives
- Able to work with sensitivity/tact, including a commitment to confidentiality
Please note, you will be required to work between Monday-Saturday to fit the needs of the clinic schedules This will involve being part of rota for clinics on weekday evenings and Saturdays. (Standard rota will be 28 hours per week plus 2 Saturday mornings per month).
Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS and/or other international criminal record check prior to appointment and at regular points during employment. The outcome must be satisfactory to WTC and LSTM, as the duties of this post will involve direct and/or indirect contact with vulnerable adults and/or children.
