Occupational Therapist Assistant

Allied Health Careers is urgently seeking an Occupational Therapist Assistant for a leading service provider based in Dublin West.

The successful Occupational Therapist Assistant will join an expanding team with an excellent culture. The successful candidate will work Occupational Therapist Manager and team to deliver a best in class service to it’s users.

Requirements:

• Manage own caseload & collaborate with service users, family etc. in treatment / intervention planning while providing support and advice.

• Follow treatment plans designed by an Occupational Therapist including assisting in the provision of education and advice to service users on the use of enabling equipment.

• Carry out programmes and groups for service users with the Occupational Therapist Supervisor and treating Occupational Therapists.

• Liaise with other staff and agencies in the provision of therapeutic programmes

• Prepare the environment for group or 1:1 interventions according to service user needs.

Experience:

• Demonstrates a good understanding of the role of an Occupational Therapy Assistant with relevant qualifications

• An ability to understand and comply with health and safety requirements in work situations.

• Commitment to continuing professional development.

• Demonstrate a willingness to engage with and develop Information Technology skills relevant to the role.

This is a contract role – all candidates must have full working right for the Republic of Ireland.
